Tramp Oil Skimmers For Single Sumps With Electric Pumps |
A KELLER TKO PUMP/SKIMMER WITH ELECTRIC PUMP
SWEEPS OUT TRAMP OIL, CLEANS & AERATES ENTIRE SUMP
|
|
When to Use a Keller EDP Pump/Skimmer:
Keller EDP electrically-driven pump/skimmers offer an alternative
to the compressed air driven TKO pump/ skimmers for individual
sumps for shops that prefer not to use compressed air-for
example, over the weekend, when the compressor is idle-or
in shops with limited available compressed air supply.
Get these benefits:
- Extended tool life, improved parts finish
- Smoke & odor eliminated
- Multiplied coolant life = Much less machine downtime, greatly reduced coolant purchase & disposal costs
With these exclusive Keller advantages:
- Self-priming electric diaphragm pump, much more reliable than submersible pump
- Patented permanent oil separating (coalescing) element, never needs changing
- Compact inlet device can access any sump
- Sets up in minutes-Requires minimal operator attention
How the EDP Pump/Skimmer works:
An EDP pump/skimmer pumps oily coolant from
the surface of a sump or supply tank, removes the tramp oil,
and continuously returns the cleaned coolant at a flow rate
of 180 gallons per hour. An electrically operated diaphragm
pump mounted on the cover of the separator pulls the oily
coolant through a floating inlet device, and then through
a cartridge filter which removes chips from the fluid. The
filtered fluid is pumped to the patented permanent Keller
oil coalescing element, which separates the tramp oil, which
collects in a layer at the top of the separator tank. The
cleaned coolant returns to the tank or sump by gravity. The
collected oil layer is occasionally drained into a waste oil
container, simply by opening the oil drain valve. No other
operator attention is required. A timer (supplied) permits
the operator to preset any desired operating cycle.

on the cover of the high pressure coolant supply tank
or on the side of a machine tool using a CLO-1 magnetic
mount; and 2) The EDP 9.5, with a 10 gallon separator
tank, which is placed on the shop floor adjacent to the
machine tool sump. Each EDP Separator is shipped by UPS
complete, ready for setup. The customer supplies only
