COMPRESSED AIR FILTERS

Remove Water/Oil/Dirt from the Compressed Air System
with Rugged, Low-Maintenance Filters and AutoDrains

To Keep Water, Oil, & Dirt Out of the Main Compressed Air Line:
Install a CAX Filter on the main air line downstream from the air receiver. The CAX filter, supplied for line sizes to 1”, will remove any quantity of water, oil, and dirt from the air. It contains a permanent filter element which rarely needs attention. For totally hands-off operation, install a #2501 AutoDrain on the drain valve of the CAX Filter to drain automatically the oil and water knocked out of the compressed air by a CAX filter. The #2501 AutoDrain may also be installed on the drain line from the compressed air receiver to drain condensate with rust and dirt from the receiver without operator attention.

To Protect Machine Controls and Air Tools from Airline Contaminants:
Install an A025J Filter as close as possible to each end use point. An A025J Filter, rated at 5 microns, will remove most pipeline dirt and water that condenses downstream from the CAX Filter. If essentially complete removal of submicron oil droplets and solid particles is required, for example to protect sensitive air-operated machine controls, install an A025K Coalescing Filter immediately downstream from an A025J Filter. The A025K filter, rated at 99.97% efficiency for 0.3 micron droplets and particles, will remove the small quantity of submicron oil and water aerosols and solid particles not captured by the A025J. The A025J should always be installed as a prefilter for the A025K.

CAX Compressed Air Filters
A CAX Filter, with the Keller permanent plastic coalescing filter element, will remove large quantities of dirt, water, and oil from main compressed air lines up to 1”. Liquid is drained by opening the 1/4” ball valve drain periodically. The #2501 AutoDrain may be installed on the filter drain for totally hands-off operation. The filter housing is stainless steel & brass. The plastic filter element is never replaced.

A025J & A025K Compressed Air Filters
A025J and A025K filters, with 1/4” ports, are installed at end use points immediately upstream of a pressure regulator to remove dirt, water, and oil present in the air distribution lines. The filter housings are aluminum with liquid level sight glasses and manual drains. The filter elements are replaceable.

#2501 Electrically Operated Drain
The #2501 AutoDrain has a 1/4” full-ported brass disc valve to avoid clogging with solids. The valve cycle time and duration of opening are easily field-adjustable to drain any volume of condensate. The electrical requirement is a 115v outlet. The #2501 AutoDrain may be installed vertically or horizontally.
